Fredric J. Bendremer maintains a boutique legal practice with a focus on corporate, commercial, and financial law. He provides legal counsel to select businesses, institutions, professionals, and executives in South Florida and statewide.
Mr. Bendremer's work has involved a variety of complex, high-stakes negotiations, contracts, and commercial transactions. He has advised senior executives and high-level professionals regarding employment and partnership matters. Over the course of his career, other attorneys have engaged Mr. Bendremer to assist with complex negotiations, financial restructurings, and intricate business issues. His experience further encompasses advising businesses and institutions in significant out-of-court restructurings and Chapter 11 reorganizations. Beyond his transactional, financial, and restructuring work, Mr. Bendremer has advised clients in challenging shareholder and partnership matters, including buyouts and disputes.
Mr. Bendremer’s approach to the practice of law and client service is grounded in a rigorous foundation of legal education, scholarship, and experience at top-tier institutions. Prior to establishing his private practice, Mr. Bendremer practiced with nationally known law firms, including Hale and Dorr (now WilmerHale) and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan. Given the depth of his practice experience, academic background, and legal scholarship, he was appointed Lecturer in Law at Boston University School of Law, where he taught courses in both the Master of Laws program in Banking and Financial Law and the Juris Doctor program. His legal publications have been cited and quoted in numerous textbooks, practice guides, and scholarly articles, and he has served as a speaker and panelist at various professional seminars.
Mr. Bendremer’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Science, a Master of Public Administration, a Juris Doctor, and a Master of Laws in Banking and Financial Law. While at the University of Miami School of Law, he was a member of the University of Miami Law Review, ultimately serving as Executive Editor. He later graduated first in his class in his Master of Laws program at Boston University School of Law. His formal education is augmented by graduate coursework in banking and finance at the Boston College Graduate School of Business, as well as the completion of the Program on Negotiation and Dispute Resolution at Harvard Law School.
Mr. Bendremer is licensed to practice law in Florida and Massachusetts and is a member of the bars of several federal courts.
